Scott has over 25 years experience in private industry business and financial management. Prior to going into private practice he was the Chief Financial Officer of a large retail organization with locations in Colorado Springs and Denver. In that capacity Scott developed strong strategic financial experience working with people to achieve individual and corporate financial objectives. Scott is a financial advisor with expertise in public and private retirement plans, special needs estate planning, life insurance, long term care, disability income and investments.

Scott’s practice the last 11 years has focused on public and private pension plans. In that capacity Scott has helped hundreds of employees in the private and public sectors, including educators, understand and manage the investment options within their retirement plan. Scott’s objective when meeting with clients is threefold: 1.) Calculate the clients' maximum retirement benefits; 2.) Help minimize taxes in that process both now and in retirement, and 3.) Help the client transition from their career into retirement, their next career, or their next focus in life. Scott uses an educational format whereby he instructs his clients how their retirement plan works so that they can make decisions affecting their retirement in an informed way. Scott keeps current on all aspects of public and private pension plans; so that he can effectively help his clients achieve their objectives. This involves coordination of assets and benefits including but not limited to; social security, other pension plans, health care pre- and post-retirement, qualified and non-qualified investment strategies, purchasing service credit, survivor benefit options and much more.
