"There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.”

How do we work with business owners?

Life as a business owner can be a seemingly never ending race of strategic objectives to hit and operational tasks to achieve. At SFP, we understand the many directions you are pulled. Our team will work with you to understand and clarify the goals you have set for your business, as well as the targets you are shooting for outside of it. We will work with you to help create a personalized strategy for corporate benefits, executive compensation options, business protection & buy/sell planning, and ultimately the creation of a comprehensive Exit Plan.

What is Exit Planning?

SFP has developed a customized process to help you discern your options and develop a gameplan for your desired outcome. Whether you plan to sell your business, transfer to key management, or pass it along to your children, our Exit Planning process provides education, expert guidance, and a complete roadmap for one of the most challenging aspects of business ownership.

Building your team

No one person can effectively navigate a ship through uncertain seas, just as no one person can have all the tools necessary to successfully achieve the perfect exit from your business. We will collaborate with your current professional advisors, and introduce new expert relationships when necessary, to ensure no opportunities are missed. Having the right team in place, with the right focus, is important not just for the success of your company, but also for your eventual exit.

Execution & Accountability

The creation of an initial Plan for your future exit is an excellent first step. The end goal can only be achieved, however, through targeted implementation and consistent review. Our team at SFP will continue quarterbacking the Exit Planning process for your business through execution to ensure that your specific objectives are met.

Separate from the financial plan and our role as financial planner, we may recommend the purchase of specific investment or insurance products or accounts.  These product recommendations are not part of the financial plan and you are under no obligation to follow them.
